Agbetu was a prodigious computer programmer turned musician, pioneering the UK street soul sound, which combined soul music with the driving raw drum machine beats of hip hop, breakbeat, and house. All produced within his Hackney bedroom studio, where he would go on to produce an array of artists continuing this explorative dance music, and releasing it all via his own London based Unyque Artists / Intrigue Label. A perfect introduction to those interested in diving in, and a welcomed reissue by already devout fans of this soulful underground dance music.
