Joe Zawinul - The Rise And Fall Of The Third Stream in details
The style of music on this Lp is largely considered "Third Stream" (hence the title). Third Stream was coined as its own genre that represents a balance of jazz and classical. Classical/avant-garde composer William Fischer worked closely with Zawinul and wrote most of the tracks on this record. Dave Brubeck's "...Brandenburg Gate" Lp is another fine example of Third Stream music where he pairs with his brother, a classical composer.
