The Jazzinvaders is a project by Dutch nu-jazz and afrobeat musician Timothy van der Holst (aka Phil Martin) (drums/percussion) and two members of the jazz group The Houdini's, Rolf Delfos (horns/saxophone) and Erwin Hoorweg (piano/organ). Other members are Marius Beets (double bass), Tom Beek (saxophone) and Jan Van Duikeren (trumpet).
Strut Records present the first official reissue of a landmark album in the field of African music, Mulatu Astatke’s "Mulatu Of Ethiopia" from 1972. Recorded in New York, the album arrived at a time when Astatke had begun to master the delicate fusion of styles needed to create Ethio jazz.
